Three

Three is such a wonderful age. The world is your playground and your imagination is limitless. We should all tap into the child within and believe again that we are only bound by the limit of our imagination. Who is your superhero?

Fashion

Our assignment was to shoot a fashion or fantasy photograph. I choose to shoot a young woman in a wedding dress. A friend of mines daughter graciously agreed to be my model. Game Time

With Christmas fast approaching, I look forward to a break from school and time to play with my camera. I took the following shots during my pic a day for 365 days. I’m hoping to add to my game collection. I’m thinking Monopoly and Checkers are next…

A few weeks ago, I was asked if I would submit some photographs to be included in an article in the magazine from my kids school. They were writing an article about the water polo team. I did, and this is the shot they used…

Sports Illustrated Photographer Simon Brunty

Had the opportunity to attend a seminar given by Sports Illustrated photographer Simon Brunty yesterday at the Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar. He was very entertaining. It was interesting hearing him talk about all the preparation that was involved in setting up a shoot. The better prepared you are… and the more you know your camera and gear… the better your chances of a successful shoot! Sounds logical to me! Check out his website he has some incredible shots!   http://www.simonbruty.com/

It was interesting to hear what the judges liked and disliked. A lot of the comments were the same as my Photojournalism instructor has been telling us all semester. One comment in particular rang loud and clear… “It’s not sharp – it’s out!” I was fortunate today to see some amazing photographs. Volunteering again tomorrow, I’m excited to learn some more…
